I have not put any flowers into my nice raised planter box yet this year.
I find that if I buy a hanging basket, and separate the plants, there are usually 3 or 4 good sized ones in those, then plant them they do quite well. I noticed in the grocery flyer that hanging baskets are on sale, I may go and see if I can find a couple of them tomorrow evening. I will plant them on Saturday morning.
Last year I went with a red and white colour scheme. I put petunias in, they last long into the cool fall weather, which was nice. I haven't make my mind up yet this year what colours I would like or what variety of flower.

I would love to see your flowers blooming soon and I'm excited to see what color theme you'll have this year.

Buying the hanging baskets and then dividing it up for your planter sounds like a really good idea. I'm sure when you go to the market some pretty flower baskets will grab your attention.

Petunias are very pretty and they last a long time. I intend to buy some seedlings soon to put in some of my empty pots.
