It was sooner than I wanted, but all the rain made it necessary. While he was here I gave him some old lawn furniture to fix up. . . wrought iron chairs and table base that are more than fifty years old. I also gave him some modern yard chairs that need cushions and painting. It is really helpful to have him removing some things. It costs money, but I have it, and he works hard, does extra things for me and he earns it. I have also hired him to remove some small trees that have grown up while I could not keep up with them. He was anxious to get started and is out there with a chain saw right now. A storm came over right before he came. He has already taken one load to the city burn pile. Bob and I got up not too early. We went to Braum's for breakfast, then Meridian Market, which sells distressed freight, bulk spices and baking supplies. I went there first, then to Dillons. I got a very good stock up done, and it is all put away now. I would be tempted to nap, but the chain saw is loud.
