Marissa Webb who is an employee at Parrot's Place in Parrotsviile Tennessee is grateful that first responders came to rescue her last Thursday after flash floods hit the area as well the store where she went to work.
Firefighters with the Parrotsville Volunteer Fire Department came to rescue Marissa who had to turn off the electricity before she was rescued by taking her to a fire station down the street after Marissa had to tell her customers to leave the store before the flood took over the store.
The store closed for a few days so that the community could clean up the mess caused by the floods.
Even though damage to the store did cause a lot to the inventory, Marissa is grateful that she is alive and well thanks to the volunteer firefighters who came to rescue her in her time of need.

That sounds like an incredibly scary situation, and I’m glad Marissa made it out safely. Flash floods can turn dangerous unbelievably fast, especially in small towns where water rises before people have much warning.

It's a bad thing when anyone gets flooded out
There are videos online of our town in 2023 when a whole housing estate got flooded
People getting rescued from roofs of houses by people in boats

Storm flood waters can rise rapidly, and catch people unawares, so to speak, and in these cases, it is good that there are dedicated responders that can rescue someone, such as Marissa, was rescued here.
