Coffee lover?

This is about a coffee question lol. Are you someone who can function perfectly fine without caffeine? Or does the world need to hold its breath until you’ve had your first morning cup? I actually can’t start my day without a cup of coffee at least. Like it’s already part of my morning routine. Of course if there’s no coffee I available I can live with it for a day or two until I bought some.

I need caffeine, but I don’t drink coffee. It sure would be better for me than Coca-Cola, but it is what it is. I need my caffeine!

@k_krist I drink Coke, but I do it knowing it’s so not good for me. I think it’s because my mom wouldn’t let me have it as a child, so as an adult I went nuts. Not her fault, of course, but that’s my theory.

Oh I see. So what do you drink then? I'm just curious. I'd chose coffee than soft drinks. I think it's healthier lol.

NO! I need my coffee first thing in the morning. The first coffee is to start functioning and then I enjoy a second cup with my breakfast.

@k_krist - My husband also likes his second cup and often the third is after lunch. We are both Italians.

Oh wow. I love coffee but I never had to insist a second cup. I I’m usually okay with just one cup. You’re just like my husband. He does that too :)

I used to drink coffee when I was a young adult but my first wife would get sick if she smelled coffee brewing so I gave it up... After our divorce, I tried drinking it again and couldn't stand the taste. I was always high energy until I was in my 50s. That's when I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and had to slow down. Now, I also have been diagnosed with adult onset hydrocephalus so am just waiting to get in to see a neurologist. *shrug*

@k_krist Mom always had coffee brewing all day long. I grew up on a farm. Any time somebody came over to visit, the first thing they'd do was ask for a cup of coffee.

Oh sorry to hear that. I love the smell of brewing coffee too. When I was younger I don’t drink coffee not until I became an adult at 30s lol. But yeah I knew some friends who don’t drink coffee because of their religion.

Coffee lover here. But I can definitely start a day without caffeine. I used to have hot black coffee every morning but the temperature here doesn't allow me. Too hot here so I shift to iced coffee

Back when i was a law student I used to drink 6 cups of coffee from 2am to 6am. It helps me to keep awake but after i graduated i started to drink just 1 to 2 cups of coffee. I just cant function well without it.

Oh wow. That's a lot. But I think you really need it when you're a student to keep you alert and awake. I'm just curious if that doesn't make you palpitate or some sort. But yeah 1-2 cups a day is very reasonable and fine.
