1 Week Sober**

Torrington, Connecticut
June 10, 2026 7:36am CST
After not drinking alcohol for a week, I began to notice positive changes in both my body and mind. Energy levels have improved, sleep has been feeling deeper and more refreshing, and mental clarity has increased. Taking a break from alcohol has provided me a sense of accomplishment and has helped me feel more in control of my health choices. Even after just one week, I feel the difference and want to continue feeling better. Cheers to one week of no alcohol.

That's great, but I just noticed in your previous discussion you were feeling irritable. Hmm

@BACONSTRIPSXXX If you stick with it, you probably will feel better but not necessarily right away.

I do not drink on a regular basis, but alot of people swear off of it here during January and refer to it as Dry January. And I believe that people do it for the same reason, and there is strength in numbers, so they support each other. I hope that you can continue, and find a mocktail that appeals to you.

I had the bad habit to have a small drink after dinner. Two months ago I decided to stop and I noticed an improvement in my sleep, also my memory is more sharp now.

Seriously, it's crazy how acceptable drinking is in our society, when it's not at all healthy and can be devastating when taken to extremes.
