I’m living on popsicles.

Yesterday, it was 97 F (36 C) and the heat index was 105 F (41 C). I have been living on popsicles for weeks with this heat: watermelon, grape, coconut, and peach. It does help. Do you guys eat popsicles, and what kind do you get?

I usually only eat popsicles when it’s all I can eat before a colonoscopy. Like next month.

@MarieCoyle — I think the worst thing about them is the prep. You sleep through the actual procedure. Can’t sleep through the prep!

@FourWalls I can't drink that stuff. The last time I actually got it down, I threw up for 2 days. Next time, I will do the pills. I just wish they would dream up a better way, the prep is miserable.

I think colonoscopies are...unbelievably stressful, and I am sorry whenever anyone has to have one.

I can actually relate to your heat as today we are at 40C with the humidity factored in. It is awful out, and our a/c has been running alot. But......I will not complain as the alternative would be too hot fo rme. We eat more fresh fruit during the hot months than popsicles. I like yogurt and fruit based popsicles when I buy them, which is not often. The kind you are eating do a great job of keeping you hydrated.

@AmbiePam It doesn't pay for me to buy watermelon as I will only eat a couple of quarter slices and my hubs won't eat any.

I used to eat popsicles until recently due to dealing with prediabetic conditions. I now drink water or juice.

I can’t eat cold things like that because my teeth are sensitive to cold

Just now
Yes, we do. I buy the large box of Pop Ice and stick them under the kitchen sink and just put six or eight of them in the little freezer of different flavors when we run out in the freezer again. Sometimes I go weeks without eating any. Pretty does the same. I do hunt for the peach flavored ones and eat them first, though. (We throw away the lemon ones. )

I don't buy them. We both need to watch our sugar intake and I'm guessing there is quite a bit of sugar in popsicles.

I like them, but sometimes they hurt my teeth. But when it's really hot, they are a good treat.
