Today was the day for visiting with my mother in law who has Alzheimer’s .
She had a few complaints but was generally in a good mood
She still believes people are stealing from her
I always include a pink photo with posts about mother in law because pink is her favorite color

I am happy for you that your mother in law is in a good mood when you visited her today.

The good days are to be treasured because I know how hard it can be to get through the rough ones,

I think it might actually be a good sign that she still thinks that people are stealing from her
She is consistent

My Great Aunt thought that too and she did not have dementia.

Well your family gave up control over her life, including her finances. They could very well be, but because she suffers from ALtimizers, you're quick to write it off as the condition.

You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. She’s claiming stolen shoes that are sitting in her closet. How dare you judge something you know nothing about. How very rude of you.

I’m glad she had a relatively good day. Count them as blessings.

OK having just read your response to @kaylachan's comment I can see you don't take kindly to this kind of suggestion, but I was just concerned something bad could be happening behind your back.

@LooeyVille That is very trying to deal with, I'm sorry that is happening. And I certainly didn't mean to suggest you were not looking after her properly. I'm glad she had a good day.

Yes, we're POSITIVE nothing is missing. We have pictures of the shoes she says are missing. They are right there in her closet. No, it is VERY COMMON for Alzheimer's patients to think people are stealing from them. We are not being dismissive of her concerns. There are video cameras everywhere and everything mother-in-law has said happened DID NOT HAPPEN.

Sadly, she will continue to be completely convinced that people are stealing from her, until her brain advances to the final stages of Alzheimer's. Such a mean, sad disease it is! But I am glad she was in a good mood.
