Today, the Philippines commemorates the 128th anniversary of the 1898 declaration of freedom from Spanish colonial rule. That means it is a holiday for us. And it is a long weekend so more people might take this opportunity to have a vacation somewhere. As for us, we will just be home and relax.

@rakski You're welcome. If you want to come over, I'm making roasted pork loin tonight. It's almost done. I'm making roasted potatoes and fried onions to go with it.

We visited a café that had pet corgis for guests play with, and it was such a delightful experience. One corgi in particular seemed to choose me, staying by my side, letting me pet her, and eventually falling asleep in my lap. I was really touched that she chose me over the others there, making the moment even more special.

@rakski It’s somewhere in QC at Centris. You can easily find it or ask the guard for directions. What makes this place special is that, for those without pets at home you can enjoy the experience of having one for a while.

Is it Gloria or Duterte who fixed most of the holidays on Fridays?
