Friday Funday

Today is a Friday Funday for me.
I booked off from work today. I am going to our son's place with Grandpa this morning to watch the twins. They do not know that I am coming-I like to surprise them and keep them on their toes.
My very favorite part of spending time there is arriving early in the morning and having some quality cuddle time, in particular, with Willow. She is a bit of an early bird and will have been up long enough that she will want to cuddle with me on the couch when I arrive.
It is a much nicer day here today weather-wise. We are rid of the terribly humidity. Last night we had some strong storms pass through. At one point I got up and saw the sky light up with heat lightening and within those flashes was chain lightening from the storm. Today's high will be 30C instead of 40C, which is a very welcome change.
We will be going to playgroup in the next little town over from our city. that is where they prefer to go to on Fridays. It is only open once a week, otherwise they stay in the city and attend a playgroup here. But the one that we are going to today has a really great learn to read program on the two computers in the library set aside for the children. The girls love to use those.

Wow, I didn't know it got that hot in Canada, somehow I've always thought it leaned more towards what I consider cool summer weather like in the 30s or so but 40s, yikes. Of course you probably know that 40s is common here in the desert.
I hope you remember to take a few photos to show us what a playgroup is all about, well no faces of course but it would be fun to get to see what something like that looks like

That sounds like a perfect Friday funday Julia. I'm sure the girls will be so happy to see you.
Nothing much happening here today. My week was a bit busy so I'm happy for a day without any plans or appointments.

Oh goodness the twins have grown so much. I bet you will have a great day. I have had a lovely day so far. I have booked two villas today in Mauritius for next March for my daughters 40th Birthday. They are next to each other, one 4 bedded room villa & the Villa for us with Two bedrooms. Both have their own pools & are not to far from the beach. I am pleased as we do find the kids overwhelming at times so we can withdraw for peace & relaxation but meet up with them some evenings & during some days.
