It rained last night, and the thief stayed away.

It did storm last night, but it was a fairly gentle storm and the electricity didn’t even flicker. Occasionally, the storms just leave us stickier outside, but this time it was much nicer outside afterwards. I know this because I slept through my grocery delivery (that never happens). So when I opened my door this morning not only was it cooler, but my groceries were still there. My guess is my neighbor thief was still sleeping. Hey, I’m just thankful the groceries were there although I wish the delivery person had knocked per instructions. How do I know they didn’t? My dog didn’t go nuts.

Glad you got your delivery with no theft. When are you going to get your ring cam set up? You need one.

My IT friend is coming next week. I don’t want anyone to steal from me, but a tiny part of me wants that green tea stolen again so I can nail the person. If it wasn’t the delivery guy coming back, that is.

@AmbiePam a doorbell cam is going to make people think twice..and if they take anything they will be on camera. I guess it is natural to want retribution.

Oh, I am glad your groceries were not stolen!! The sooner you get that camera installed, the better. I love knowing that someone is on my porch and doesn’t ring the bell. You must have been very tired. It’s cooler here today, too. And I am so thankful for that.

I am glad that your groceries were left alone, and that it cooled down a bit. But I would recommend reporting the delivery person. That would give you peace of mind for the next time.

haha I'm glad your groceries were still there! I wonder why the delivery man didn't knock at your door? It's been raining here for a week too. I wish for a warmer summer tho.

I guess maybe it just goes against instinct to knock that early, but I would appreciate if he had.

We usually have the same issue with storms and rain, leaving it feeling more humid and gross, but today it actually cooled it off by quite a bit when it rained. I'm glad you got your groceries. I don't understand how people can steal from others; it never even enters my mind to take from someone else. We will sometimes get a delivery for one of our neighbors, and we usually take it back, but there have been a time or two we didn't due to the weather, and then we forgot about it, and then it seems weird taking it back after months, and they more than likely already got a replacement. We still have them unopened because I don't feel right opening it but still feel weird returning them, not to mention I'm not even sure if those same neighbors even live there anymore. If only the package came when there wasn't a foot of snow and negative temps outside. I literally just found the packages in my closet a while ago, and it has been almost a year since we brought them in, so they wouldn't get damaged. We planned to return it when the snow melted and forgot about it. I'm even on FB sites where people could post about their package if they know it didn't make it to their house and haven't seen anyone post. I imagine they probably just complained and got a replacement, or at least I hope they did. At any rate, I hope you catch your thief eventually.

@AmbiePam That's great, hopefully you can capture the culprit. Just having it, if they know about it, may deter them, though.
