Table Salt to Help With Metabolism?

The thyroid gland plays and important role in helping your metabolism burn calories and control the appetite. To do this it needs healthy levels of iodine. This shows up more in some foods than others. Table salt that is iodized is a good source as well as egg yolks, dairy products and saltwater fish such as cod

I use regular salt but also seasoned salt,

No wonder my metabolism is too fast. I remember as a kid how much I enjoy eating salt. Yes, I would grab a handful of salt from our kitchen and eat it. That happened only once though, coz my mom caught me and reprimanded me.

Ooh, ugh. I dislike salt alot. Since I was pregnant I have been very sensitive to it. I like pepper and herbs instead.

@celticeagle - I like seafood and eggs. My husband likes oysters, that have a high content of iodine, I do not like a lot.

If we eat a balanced diet it should be.

@celticeagle We don't eat much fish which might put us at a disadvantaged.
