Sunday is Father's Day here in the US

Do you have plans?
My dad tragically passed away 3 years ago after an accident in the ocean. He didn't drown as many people think. A wave (or shark as my mother thinks) knocked him down and he was rammed head-down into the sand. It is a long and sad story but his spinal cord was severed and he had no meaningful brain activity so my mother chose to stop life support.
My dad was such a great guy. I imagine that most people say that about their fathers. We had 3 hours just of visitation at his memorial service and the line was out the door and around the building the entire time. Everyone loved him. And as I said in my brief speech I used to hate being told that I looked just like him but now I'm proud that I do. 
I'll send a text to my former FIL on Sunday. I'll send one to my ex to from our cat who adored him. Aside from that I have no plans. What will you be doing?

Pretty and I don't have any plans. My dad passed from a heart attack when I was 13.

Why not just send one to your ex from you and say how you really feel.

My sister and her family are going to get here before church starts Sunday morning to surprise him for Father’s Day. They want to take him out to eat afterwards.
