Wasp floats on water

But they're all we have to help bees pollinate. There are a few other flying kritters that do a little pollinating but aside from bees these ladies do the best. Ok, so now you're wondering why I videoed this, right? Well, I may not be a pro but I do love taking pictures and creating videos of nature and her glory.

I've been stung twice, I got too close to their nests so yeah, sting me it was ..... I didn't see the nests until after I'd been stung.

I like bees and I will never kill bees, wasps are dangerous, I only kill them if they fly inside the home.

I have to agree with you. The problem I see is that with the decline of bees we now are stuck with wasps helping to pollinate. Here where I live far too many people use instecticides and herbisides which is killing any insects there might be, of course you already know what that means to those creatures who depend on those insects for their livelihoods.

Yes, you are correct @LadyDuck I only use vinegar or baking soda if I need to repel insects but my neighbor uses poison he gets from Mexico to kill plants and insects. I am praying that all nations will soon ban all those poisons and force those manufacturers who create them to find something else to do instead.

@rebelann - I am glad that where we lived in Switzerland people knew that using insecticides killed the bees, all those who had a garden never did. Herbicides will soon be banned, I am glad of this. We are killing everything we need.

No, I do not like them but I have respect for them as our world needs them for pollinatation.

I love Bees & frequently have lots in our garden but I am not keen on wasps. If you respect them they will leave you alone! My neice had 5 hives & the Honey they produced was amazing.

Beekeeping is rewarding. I wish there wasn't a need for wasps but it seems they've been more able to survive than bees, as it is nature is in real trouble due to the decline of bees.

I avoid wasps at all costs. When I am bitten by one of them, or a hornet or a yellow jacket or whatever form they are in, I get really sick. My throat and eyes swell, and an epi pen is a must...no, I don't like them. I do everything I can for the bees (yes, their stings hurt but they don't make me sick like wasps, etc. do) and try to provide flowers they like, etc. But the wasps are not welcome here by my house.

I can understand that, wasps are not as tolerant of people as bees are.

I want to agree with you but I have to ask what are fleas or ticks good for?
