Firefighters from the Beaver Dam Fire Department in Wisconsin (BDFD) answered an emergency call on Saturday morning when a concerned citizen heard noises from inside a storm drain.
BDFD firefighters Jonathan Rash and Joey Chiuchiolo came to rescue the ducklings who were inside of the storm drain while the mom duck was outside of the storm drain.
After the two firefighters rescued the ducklings, they reunited with their mother the same day and went on their way safe and sound.
How did the ducklings fall into the storm drain is not known. The firefighters are heroes for rescuing the ducklings and reuniting them with their mom.

In May and early June here, when the baby geese and ducks are hatching and following their parents everywhere, this happens so often. There is always someone rescuing babies that have fallen down the street drains, gutter drains, whatever. I am glad there are people who make every attempt to save them.

I am in agreement with you that there are some people who care for animals.

You are right that the mom duck was scared that her ducklings were in the storm drain.

Curious kids, including ducklings, can get into trouble, easily.
Perhaps, the ducklings had no idea of the dangers of entering such a drain. It was good they were rescued before they suffered any mishaps, in there.

Probably because of their curious nature they fell into the storm drain.
