Were You a Big Romantic When Younger?

When I first got married I was very much a romantic. I was excited to get married and give this man I loved a child. As I grew older those young romantic feelings died away and I didn't even want to have anymore children. I have always been a romantic and enjoyed romantic jestures and such from the man in my life. But it dimenished with time. Is this common? Is this how you women out there felt too?

Sometimes a love becomes deeper and doesn't need so much 'romanticism' in a way.

My wife isn't romantic but me is. I always make her happy. And I do it when time permits.

I have always been romantic and my husband also is. We did not want to have children, we have been a "young couple" forever.

Maybe the butterflies just got older too. But that doesn't mean the love is any less real

As a young buy at college I was romantic. But I had no girlfriend, not because I didn't look attractive, but because I was very very shy. My friends used to tease me saying I should have been a girl.

Not sure. When I was a teenager I was not at all romantic, I was a total cynic. Then I had a long-term boyfriend and we used to have some romantic ideas, but I never wanted to get married. Now my partner and I will have been together 23 years on 1st July. I wouldn't say either of us is romantic but on the other hand we do have kisses and cuddles every day!
