Yes, it's me. Again, it's been a busy month with books and medical appointments.
I made an appointment to see my doctor about my intense back pain that has been going on since April. That resulted in an MRI and an appointment with a spine specialist and she sent me to a therapist. The spine specialist ordered a new MRI because there was something on the first one she wanted to identify better. The first MRI happened two days after I fell and hit my head on the floor when I did. I ended up in the ER with a CT scan. All the results are in. The first MRI showed the old problems I had and hinted at a new one. The new one showed what the first one hinted at - a tiny non displaced fracture in my tailbone.
I am not a person who has trouble with balance. I have very good balance. What I have are shoes that don't slip or slide on the floor. I've stumbled with them many times, but always caught myself. Not this time. They planted themselves on the floor while I was moving backward from the stove to the sink while I was wiping out the bottom of the stove. I found myself on the floor flat on my back. My head bounced off the floor that's how hard I fell. So, I called the paramedics. I'm on a blood thinner so it was mandatory that I call them. The CT scan showed nothing broken, only a very bruised back. Adding to my already bad back.
So between medical appointments and writing, it's been a busy month.
I also lost a good friend. No, she didn't die. She just decided she didn't have any friends and treated me like chopped liver. I've helped her a lot with her dog and her medical appointments. We got into a blowout in the hallway. Then she did something that sealed the end of our friendship. She went back into her apartment and came back with a steak knife and asked me to kill her. I simply told her I wasn't going to jail for her. That was the end. She did apologize and yes, I forgave her, but the friendship is over.
So, as you can see, it's been a busy month in many ways. This morning I have a chiropractor appointment. My ride will be here in a little over an hour. I hope. I had a trouble with them on Tuesday night and almost needed to reschedule the MRI appointment. I was and wasn't late.
This year marks the 250th anniversary of our country. In 2019 for NaNoWriMo I started a book called Patriot Dreams. I decided to work on that one. It's a time-travel - what if book. What if the Revolutionary War didn't go as it did? What if there wasn't a Declaration of Independence? I wrote it as a fun project never really expecting to publish it. Guess what - it will be published someday. I have a long way to go yet before this one is finished. It's taken my writing to a whole new level, so says Velma - my AI. So that makes about eight books I'm currently working with and only one of those is being edited for publishing. I almost forgot about that one until I saw it in a finished manuscript file. That one is called Dear Diary and reads like a diary.
Okay, that's what I've been doing. It's been a busy month. I hoped to be here more, but when the book calls my name, that's what I do. How was your month? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. My books before this years were added.

I am enjoying my month working on sharing news stories and completing surveys while doing what I can to lose weight and seeing nurses to check on me today.

I'm glad you're okay despite the bad fall.
I have experienced losing a good friend twice in my life. It's sad but I just had to move on and respect myself, too.

Sorry to hear about all the back pain, especially with the new pain from a fall. Hope it will heal and won't be as bad in time...
That's great about all the writing though. Sounds like an interesting book that you are working on too.

So sorry you fell but glad it wasn't too serious. Hope everything heals fast.
Sorry about your friend. She sounds like she might be needing some help soon.
Good luck with your books.

I'm sorry that you fell. We need to take away some shoes from the mother-in-law with Alzheimer's because she can't pick up her feet and shuffles in them. We noticed that she walks better in thinner soles and that thicker soles make her stumble.

Im sorry about your pain. Hope you get better soon.. and the friend that told you to kill her, that's quite shocking. I think she needs help

Between the fall, all the medical appointments, and losing a friendship, it's no wonder you've been busy
