When is the last time you overslept for something?

Well, it was my third straight week of making it to church, so I should have known I’d do something to get in the way. Unfortunately, it was oversleeping. I got there right as the sermon started, which is good because my dad was preaching. Since he’s retiring at the end of the year, I don’t want to miss my chances of hearing him, and he hadn’t preached this month yet. I’m glad I went, but I hate oversleeping. It so rarely happens anymore. When is the last time you overslept?

He preached about how we struggle with our inadequate feelings, but how Jesus can work through us anyway. I could definitely relate!

I don't really think about oversleeping very much, just try to get enough sleep! As you know, when I sleep depends on when the son sleeps. I slept about 2 hours and woke up because he did, had to get him some meds as he wasn't so great. He started a new med Friday and it appears to be making him rather dizzy. We called a hotline number to his doctor, who actually called back and reduced the dosage...we both went back to rest and managed some more sleep, thankfully. So technically, today we overslept, but not really. I am so glad you were able to hear your Dad speak. I hope your day goes well, Amber.

@AmbiePam So was I. Son scared me, he was holding on to the walls on the way down the hallway.

I do not remember. It would have been if I was sick. I am such an early bird that there were times I wish I could oversleep. I have started trying for afternoon appointments, though. Because Bob is not an early bird.

I sleep in, more than I do on work days, every Saturday as well as Sunday. I don't sleep late, today was 6:40 when I woke.

I usually wake up really early, but I didn’t go to bed until 3am, unfortunately.

I can't remember the last time I overslept. The alarm is always by my side to wake me up if I need to be up at a certain time.

I apparently turned my alarm off when it went off on my phone. I remember doing that, but then I went back to sleep and dreamed about getting up.

I'd have to think about that one. Probably years ago. I am a light sleeper, and have an alarm clock in my head..I usually set an alarm just in case if I have to get up early..but I don't end up needing it. I do remember one time in college I was supposed to work in the early evening..and my boss called me as I had fallen asleep studying..but like I said, I don't tend to oversleep. Glad you got to hear your dad.

I honestly can't remember the last time. I nearly missed getting to cards on time one night because the kitchen clock was ten minutes slow. I'm glad you made it for your Dad's sermon.
