That's how many little chickies when I last looked. The half had most of the egg open. Enough I know that it's 2 black and 2 yellow so far. By tomorrow morning I should have a full incubator. I got the square fenced higher so hopefully that will contain the adult ducks. If not they will be kicked out of the run tomorrow because they killed one of the hens today. They need to be real careful or I will eat them. I also started putting the new netting on the run after I put everyone away. I will go finish the first stretch in a few. I wanted to visit and relax a few. Hope you had a good day.

NO! I am so sorry they killed one of the hens. This is weird, I think this is unusual.

They are built different so when trying to breed can hurt a chicken. I kept checking them all day. They got her sometime late afternoon.

It happens. Especially since it's breeding season and I don't have any girl ducks

That's bad news about the drakes killing a hen. I wouldn't have thought that would happen.

Whoa, I never knew that ducks kill chickens. I would almost imagine the other way around - chickens seem kind of mean.

It's because of how they are built for breeding. It wasn't deliberate.

Oh, I am sorry they killed one of your hens. That's not good. I wonder why..it's not like they don't have proper food and shelter, etc.

They were trying to breed them as I don't have any girl ducks. Hopefully some in those I hatched.
