Bob enjoyed seeing the birds from his hospital room window, so I bought a bird feeder to hang by suction cups on the window. We had our first bird last night. It was a sparrow. I hope she spreads the word. "Free eats" It does not help that immediately after I hung the feeder we had blowing rain. The seed got wet. I imagine I need to take it down and clean it. I hope the colorful flowers around attract more visitors.

I am sure that he and some others will return. It is a great pastime to watch the birds like that from inside.

Here, during the summers, we too keep water in paper cups for the birds. Afterall those little creatures are somewhat dependent on us. We have to make the world a better place for them
