Eat chips!

Has anyone’s doctor ever told them that before? My doctor did. She was going over all my labs in a telehealth appointment, and she had previously had her nurse text me to get more salt in my diet. So her recommendation to solve the low potassium? Eat chips! My labs were excellent by the way, otherwise. I mean my goal is to be the healthiest sick person ever.

I would think that anything high in sodium, canned soups, soya sauce and foods such as that would be ideal if your goal is to increase the sodium in your diet.

She told me there was this drink called LMNT, and one a day has the amount of sodium I’ll need. I just hope it isn’t expensive.

@AmbiePam Dry, powdered chicken broth, I just thought of it. I see it in the International Section of the grocery stores and it is loaded with sodium. And it can't be crazy expensive.

I am so glad your labs were good. I’ve been worried about all your health crap I wish my doctor would tell me to eat more chips. We stopped at the gas station tonight as you know to get snacks and they had up by the rest of the year. They had protein chips at like 27 g of protein in a bag. They only had two flavors. One was like Sriracha or something which I wasn’t really that into but the other one was chicken and waffles, which I found might be kind of fun to try.

I do love me some pickles. I can’t do olives though. Can you? I tried to do a mind over matter thing and eat them anyway, but I couldn’t.

If the doctor told me to eat chips I would be the happiest person on earth Julia has some good suggestions for adding sodium and most aren't expensive. Hope you can enjoy eating foods higher in sodium and get healthier at the same time,

This is really weird, may be salted peanuts are healthier than chips, they also contain proteins and healthy fats.

That will get you some salt. My mom's cancer doctor told her to eat all the junk food she wanted to help keep weight on

That means that eating chips will increase your salt level. Doctors are experts..they know what is beneficial and what is not. I haven't had an appointment with a doctor in years..so, it's impossible to answer your question
