Went Without a Hitch

Well, I got to the campsite without a hitch. Well, of course it was actually with a hitch otherwise the camper would still be at the storage unit. But man, did it take FOREVER to get the inside cooled down, and it took extra long for the refrigerator to get "up to speed" as well. When I pulled into Cape, it was 92 degrees with a feels like temperature of 105, and I swear the camper was every bit of 140 inside. I thought I was going to have an electrical problem after the campsite 30-amp breaker tripped three times in the first couple hours. I finally got it under control and didn't have to go to the main office to complain. I got in around 2pm. Dad got here about 330. By the time he got here I was all set up, so I helped him with his set up, then we chatted for a bit before heading off to Walmart for supplies. Dinner was fried chicken which dad brought from a place called Jay's in Sikeston, MO, and we had that with coleslaw and mashed potatoes and gravy. Good eats and I didn't have to fire up the grill. Not that I'd have minded.
