Fireworks last night, thunder this morning

Bob sleeps through it all. No rain, yet. It probably is coming. It could rain all day, clear up tonight for those who have big displays, and I would be happy.
Many of us have complained about the heat, but it has not reached 100 F where I live yet, so it is really not a lot to gripe about. It is hot every summer in Kansas.
I used to never turn on the a/c until July 4, but I am a wimp as I age.
Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans. I think we are in for a ride today with weather and/or celebrations, so make it a good one.

We turn on the air conditioner as soon as it gets above 80F here. I spent too many years being too hot. I don't want to do that anymore.
We didn't hear too many fireworks going off last night and nothing woke me up after I finally fell asleep.

We're on our third day of 100+ temps here, but that's certainly not unheard of for North Carolina in July. We might get a little rain later in the evening, but I don't think any major storm.
