Another Stupendous Day

Yesterday turned out to be another great day. Later on, we decided to take a ride to Sikeston, MO, about 40 minutes south of Cape Girardeau where we are staying. To give you an idea of where that is, it's home to the famous Lambert's, home of the throwed rolls. We didn't go there, although we've been there in the past. We walked around Ollie's Bargain Outlet and picked up a few things. Then we tooled around Goodwill a bit and made a couple of other tiny stops. When we got back to the campsite, it poured down raining for a spell. It actually broke the humidity a bit and cooled things down, which I thought for sure would have had the opposite effect. Later on, I cooked marinated barbecue chicken breasts on the grill and served them cut on the bias with potato salad and a macaroni salad on the side. Good eats! After dinner we played a game called Shut Box and had some fun conversation. All in all, like the title says, it was another stupendous day at the camp. Side-note: Image is from a previous camping adventure, but incidentally cooking the chicken meal I was talking about in the current post...it's become a "party-favorite," as some might say.
