As you all know, my mother in law is 83 years old and has Alzheimer’s Dementia and lives in a memory care facility.
She has good days and bad days. She is quite confused much of the time which makes her agitated.
She’s complaining once again about someone stealing four pair of her shoes ( it didn’t happen) and many of her clothes being stolen (it didn’t happen) and that someone is stealing cookies out of her room ( she’s actually eating them).
She doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with her and doesn’t want to be around “ all the crazy people” at the facility.
She will complain about the food one minute and say how good it is the next.
She somehow believes she’s on a one year lease where she lives and can move back to her old apartment alone in 7 months
She’s both hard to deal with yet very pitiful at the same time

I'm sorry she's not well and hope she doesn't cause you too much problems.

I am so sorry you guys are needing to deal with this, but at least you know what is causing it.

I think it must be a very hard job to care for someone like that, even in a good setting. She will unfortunately continue to worsen. It’s so good that you were able to get her in a good facility.
