The Western Idaho Fair / myLot

I used to really enjoy the fair. Every year I'd get excited. I would spend hours out there. I'd go through the livestock and looked at the cows, chickens, rabbits --all of it. I liked the smells, the noise of the rides, kids yelling and laughing. The energy of the place was outstanding. My girlfriend worked out there and when I met her in junior high I went out with her to get a job in the carnival. She got one and I had to wait so I did runs for the carries and got them food, drinks, etc. Then I got a job and worked in the nickel pitch. I'll post more about my experiences.

I used to like going to them in the UK when I was young but now l would not go near them. I used to love the livestock the old steam engines & so many interesting things to see & do. These days I can't bare the thought of queueing on traffic just to get in there.

Sounds like an interesting time. I used to go to the fair a lot more often when I was younger, especially since some of my family would be a part of it; showing animals or being a part of the rodeo.

We have agricultural shows here which I'm pretty sure are just about the same thing. Any that were close by we'd take the horses on a truck and compete in the events.
