This News Headline Struck Me As Funny

I'm scrolling through my news feed headlines and I see this one: "More than 100,000 July 4 fireworks recalled over explosion hazards" Tell me if I'm wrong, but aren't fireworks SUPPOSED to explode? I mean that's the whole point, right? I never felt safe around the home type of fireworks that inexperienced people use one day a year when they're usually drunk and don't have safety measures nearby (like a tub of water to put the used fireworks in). Anyway, I thought the headline was ironic.

I agree that consumer fireworks can be risky, especially when people are inexperienced, drinking, or ignoring basic safety precautions. A lot of accidents happen because people underestimate them. Having water nearby, keeping a safe distance, and following instructions can make a huge difference.

I don't like fireworks at all because it poses danger. People just don't get it
