Can I stay awake to watch the match ?

England play Mexico at 1am ( our time ). It was briefly changed to 7pm this evening as there was a risk of thunderstorms and flooding. However, the Mexicans got a bit upset about that, ( boo hoo ! ) and got the time changed back again. I have watched all the England matches so far and would like to watch this one …. Question is ….. Can I stay awake ? Will you be watching any matches ?

Got about ten minutes now ….im wide awake …..at the moment anyway ! Thanks for your support ….England hasn’t won since 1966…..the year I was born , so it would be nice if they won the year I was 60 ….( hope I haven’t just jinxed it )….

@Traceyjayne I was watching it as my dad’s power came back on, and wow! It’s actually the only World Cup game of which I have seen any. My dad kept wondering why I was suddenly cheering on England….

Watched the match. Was delayed by almost an hour due to the weather. Mexico controlled the possession but England made the goals.

Thank you …only 30 minutes to wait now so I will be able to watch it I think ….fingers crossed I don’t fall asleep during the match though !

I think that you will regret it if you don't try to stay up to see it. Canada went alot further than alot of us thought that they would, and it ended yesterday. I probably will be alot less committed to watching the remainder of the games until the very end.

Sorry to hear Canada is out. I think I am going to manage to stay awake ….. I’ve heard one of our tv channels is going to repeat the match tomorrow morning but I want to watch it live …..if I don’t I can’t look at my phone or open the curtains as the results will be everywhere , and my neighbours watching the match tonight will take their flags down as soon as , if it goes badly for England.
