Yay, just got a focus group / myLot

This is awesome, as I have been quietly freaking out over the costs of attending the wedding in Chicago Although I don't have to stay at the hotels they have reserved rooms at..being in downtown Chicago it is incredibly expensive. It would make it easier and more fun to stay onsite..so I want to. That plus the transport costs have me going slightly mad. Plus..as a bday present for my son I said I would cover his flight..Plus, l am taking the car in tomorrow to get that sensor fixed..God knows what this garage is going to charge..if it is too much..I might just put it on the back burner..although friend would probably pay for at least half of it if I asked. That might be best I don't want to be worried about it

Glad you got the focus group, traveling is expensive. Are you driving? Remember to budget $ for parking. Very, very few hotels offer free parking and it’s not cheap. Many people here take Amtrak to Chicago-not only is cheaper than the gas we would use for a 120 mile trip, but no parking charges. Just. Thought. I would mention the parking in case it becomes an unexpected expense!

No flying and taking Amtrak on the way back. It is too unreliable to take to the wedding events.it can be delayed by several hours I will only drive if I hAve no other options.Ivwould drop the car at Midway and take public transit to the hotel.
