Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 67 degrees F and cloudy here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is just 76. Ugh. Not a pool day. At least I can turn off the AC and open up the windows. I am afraid to see my electric bill for the past month!
I slept in until 9:30am this morning which was delightful. I love not hearing the alarm on my phone first thing in the day. No big plans for the day. I need to spot clean the carpet and clear some things out of the fridge. I just haven't been very hungry lately.
What's everyone else up to today?

I'm so sorry. I can't imagine how miserable it is for those people who have no place to go to cool off. I sure do hope it comes on soon.

Today won't be as hot, like @FourWalls, it is supposed to be 85. It does get to 90's again in a few days...ugh. I would be trying to live without the AC, but the son cannot get too hot so it's been on. I dread the bill, too. Glad you got to sleep in.
We haven't been very hungry lately, either. I have been trying to think of things we enjoy that are on the light side, as I am sure it's the heat and going in and out to his appointments, etc. that sort of just zaps the appetite.
Have a nice at home day, enjoy the kitties!

That’s a cool-down! It’s not supposed to hit 90 today, so our heat wave has busted officially.

Good morning. It is 79F at 10 am and I just woke up. Our high today is supposed to reach 85F with a partly cloudy sky.
Pretty went out yesterday afternoon/evening and got the neighbors' fireworks cleaned up out of our yard and stuffed into our trashcan. The older neighbor mowed before the weekend so the grass looks nice right now. 
We have one more mowing already paid for...
Pretty says she's wanting to go out today and pick up Chinese from the local restaurant for dinner this evening. We'll have to see if she's still saying that late this afternoon. Usually she changes her mind and wants me to cook. 
As far as I know, we don't have anything else we need to do until next week when I go in to get that broken tooth pulled.
