A $15 Device is All it Takes

I watched a video a while back that described a small device that can be used to steal people's data. The user just maneuvers it over a person's pocket or purse near where people keep their debit or credit cards and that's all it takes. The machine extracts the information.

Yup! It's very similar to the scanners companies use to log people in and out of a building.

@celticeagle I agree. When only big companies could afford them, it was safe enough. Now that they're cheap, anybody could steal from you.

Thank goodness they also sell wallets that don't allow the cards to be read. It is a sad world we live in.

I knew about the device but didn't know it was so inexpensive. I keep my credit cards, license, etc. in protective sleeves and containers.
