In humid areas it is difficult to avoid sweat

July 8, 2026 6:43am CST
I work in calcutta. Even when temperature is around 34 degree celsius humidity is 90 per cent. So I and majority of people cannot avoid sweat. We try to wash the clothes everyday and put in powder, perfume, so that the sweat smell can be balanced.Sportspersons also sweat a lot. Generally it is good for skin till one does not get skin rash or infections

I usually put on my skin natural deodorant to neutralize the smell from sweating from the humidity outside.

Do people not use deodorant/antiperspirant? They even have whole body deodorant/antiperspirant now. Of course, that doesn’t stop sweating period. I think it just helps a lot. And it keeps clothes from getting stained from sweat. Nothing really stops it all, especially with the humidity.

@sathviksouvik Okay, because I heard people in Europe (obviously not your continent) do not. Also, people in Mexico mostly don’t wear deodorant either and it gets super hot there. You guys are obviously smarter.

It doesn't get as hot here usually as it does there but the humidity is also very high. Even showers every day doesn't stop the sweating. I usually stay inside where the air conditioner is always running.

I don't like high humidity. I'm sure it's very difficult to stay fresh when it's so hot and humid.
