It was her birthday.

Oh, shoot. I didn’t want to cry writing this, and I didn’t think I would. Yesterday, July 7th was not only my late maternal grandmother’s birthday, and what would have been my late mother’s 67th birthday. Of course, most of you know by now she died at age 55, of early onset dementia (she was 46 when diagnosed). Fortunately, we have a lot of pictures of her with Amyra, and I remember how excited she was to be a grandma. I also remember how much my grandmother loved Amyra and Hudson, and I’m so glad that they both at least knew her.
My mother was such a gem! She was beautiful, but so was her heart. She wasn’t perfect, and would never claim to be. She worked hard to be a better wife, mother, daughter, friend, and educator. She was a an actual genius, but never lorded her intelligence over anyone. She thought she was such a dork!
I look forward to seeing her again. I know she’s having a blast.

@AmbiePam Yes she was one admirable woman that left a mark not only among her children and relatives but thousands of strangers she was able to help when she was alive.

I know you still miss her and always will. So glad you have wonderful memories to help you, she must have been a special lady. And shared a birthday with her own mom/what a gift your grandmother got, the day your mother was born!
Yes, you will see them again. That promise is very special to me, too.

Of course she is up above they all feel fine up ther, She is nearby and always watchign over you. BTW I feel so good getting signs a week ago I who have no change or money at home, using my debit card and ordering online found a quarter in my workroom right by my feet. Remember at times I call myself the old bat in the attci? Hubby listens to me the quarter had George on the front and on the back to bats from some national park, He know what is going on and last night going to the restroom on the way a paper, I thought what paper is on the floor it was from an add for Statoil which was the main gas station in Riga and right near where we lived, it felt so good to be acknowledge, Virtual hugs and know that they will always love you,
