This morning I heard the hardest rain I ever heard in my life. It went beyond pounding and driving. It was a true monsoon..a deluge. Fortunately, it only lasted about 5 or 10 minutes. We have had rain several days this week and still a drought? That's what they say anyway. I guess it needs to rain all day and soak into the ground for drought relief. At least that is what they say

Any flooding? Other than driveway puddles, doesn't happen here. Are you healthy again now?

@snowy22315 Flooding in surrounding areas. We are too high to flood.
I am doing pretty good. Still mending as stents settle in, but have been released to go back to normal activities.

It seems strange to me, but I guess not that much of it has actually soaked into the ground.

@snowy22315 This is true, if the ground was so dry, it is possible that not enough water soaked into it.

@LadyDuck It is just incredible to me when it rains every other day..how we could still be in a severe drought..

Those kind of rains a lot of it runs off. A slow steady rain would help more

We had that kind of rain last weekend but today it's light rain. We need the rain too (from what they say)

If it lasted 40 minutes here I would have a lake in the driveway

I was shocked as to how hard it was raining. I honestly don't think I have heard rain at that level before

That is how it rained here during the day on July 4. Almost scary. I am glad I live "up on the hill" in town, as it has not ever flooded up here. The wind just tries to blow you away. I am glad you are getting some rain. Slower is better, though.
