Coming around to peace

Saturday today. People engaged in the yearly bicycle ride from Portland, Oregon to Seattle, Washington. Ninety miles each way. Just imagine your legs pumping and your butt sitting that long way. Bikers pedaled by the back of our property for most of today. Yesterday I mowed tall yellow flowering weeds for about fifteen minutes. I exercised in the not so warm pool for about 20 minutes. I walked in the grocery store and decided on what we'd eat. Today I watered plants. One large grape plant will give us fruit in a couple of months. The raspberries are done for the year. Per usual the summer squash are being stingy at providing food. The perennial geraniums have lovely lavender blooms. I have enjoyed another mild summer day. I have done what I could. I am trying to not stew about us owing over a thousand dollars in medical bills and more coming. Hubby says we have the ability to pay the bills without going under. The financial folks believe that, too. I will just sit on the outdoor swing and feel peace as I stare up at the clouds and listen to the bluejay sass.
