I’m in Pain But It’s All My Fault

I have no one to blame but myself. Life’s been weird for several weeks. Things are just “off” I’ve been having some side effects due to medication changes. It’s been a little unsettling at times. My sleep schedule is messed up Mother in law is declining with more false claims of her property being stolen I’ve only got one true friend who cares about me and the other ones don’t show me any support. I’m supposed to wear a retainer to sleep every night because after braces you have to continue to wear a retainer in order to keep your teeth straight. I’ve always been compliant with doing that. But for some reason I have failed to wear it for three weeks Naturally the teeth have slightly moved in that amount of time so when I put the retainer on today it barely fit and it’s making my teeth really hurt But like I said, it’s my own fault. I’ll get back on track now.

It’s good that you have decided to get back on track. MIL will unfortunately continue to decline. She is in the best place she can be. I can definitely sympathize with the messed up sleep schedule! It can make a person feel very off kilter.

I'm sorry to hear of this. As much as it's not a pleasant situation, this is how you learn.

It's so easy to skip something like this. I'm glad you're back on track now.It didn't take long to start hurting, did it?

Oh dear, you poor thing ... Sorry to hear about MIL....such a worry and you are doing such a great job , always being there for her it's such a difficult time. Will you be able to get the retainer altered ? You know you have friends on here .....I know it's not the same as being physically there but folk on here do care and are here willing to listen and support you.

You know the saying, live & learn, so I'm guessing you have to be fitted with a new retainer? or you try to get by with the old 1?

Best of luck to you, and I hope your teeth stop hurting. Made me remember the days of braces. How I hated those an had all kinds of problems,

We all have bad spells. But yes, some of them are by our own design. Acknowledgment is the first step to recovery. Onward and upward.
