How is everyone enjoying the World Cup so far?

In the first rounds I watched several games a day on TV. Seeing countries like Uzbekistan,Algeria,Cape Verde,Eqypt,Morocco, Curacao, as well as previous winners like Argentina,England and France made for some exciting action. The game with Cape Verde and Argentina in the knockout round was particularly exciting. Any nation, regardless of their ranking, could still have very good players. That game held the record for largest gap between rankings between teams. Were you rooting for any specific teams? Did anyone go to a game or watch at home or at a watch party? San Jose had some watch parties, but problems caused the city to put restrictions on the gatherings. It was nice to see audience members cheering and wearing outfits like knghts, pharaohs, fennecs, leopards, blue sharks and more.

I watched two of the USA’s matches, and quite enjoyed it. I was hoping England would beat Argentina, but at least France lost yesterday.

I don't do ball games but was paying attention to who won... Some friends of mine (father and son) are betting each other as to which team will win. I enjoy teasing the son and telling him I hope his teams lose. It drives him crazy!

@Aquitaine24 I didn't ask. The son is still a teenager so I would guess he doesn't have his own money.

No, I never liked football, no matter if American or European. I thought since the beginning that Argentina was designed to win.

I lost a bit of interest after Australia was beaten. I only learnt about Cape Verde when i set myself the task of learning all the African nations. I had no idea it existed before that so I was cheering for them too.
