Lots of turnover at work in the upcoming year

I'm talking about administration. In April or May it was announced that the building principal was retiring. It made sense. He's got both the years of service and age. He and I were always friendly and ready to talk about Jimmy Buffett, Toby Keith, Outlander, etc. We also were very open and honest with each other when we disagreed. I had absolutely zero fear of him. As I've said to other administrators--"I may drop some F-bombs in our conversation and it might get heated but at least with me you know I'm always telling you the truth." So of course there was loads of speculation about who would replace him, who would get shuffled around, etc. It is no secret if you have a child in the high school (or read my work posts) that the place is pretty wild. We've always been the rebel school in the district--you should see our job actions when we are at impasse during contract negotiations--but over the past few years it has gotten pretty out of control. Yes I blame administration for that. Anyway the rumor was that central administration wanted to really shuffle things up with his retirement. Oh they did. The freshman VP is our new building principal. I have a pretty good relationship with him so we shall see if that continues. He loves to fish like my dad did. He was impressed with what I did with the Baking Club as he was in charge of all of the clubs. He seems pretty chill so hopefully our positive relationship will continue. The junior VP is moving to an intermediate school around the corner from where we work. He is more uptight and is very inconsistent with the things he says and done. He's my #1 go-to when I'm having a technology problem but aside from that I've had limited dealings with him over the past several years. Fine with me. The building supervisor is also moving to the same intermediate school. That is a shame because he's the best supervisor I've had in 24 years. He is always positive and supportive. You see him all over the building. When I see him sprinting through the halls I know that there's either a fight or a medical emergency in progress. He's just been great to work with and I will miss him. There are 2 new names on the list. My best guess is that one is to replace the supervisor and one to replace the VP. I've never heard of them before so I don't know if they are from somewhere else in the district or if they are coming from somewhere else. In any case it will be interesting to see how the culture of the school changes. . . if it does.
