Misogynists in History

Some men seem to have this odd feeling toward women. To them women hold little or no value; they need to stay in their place which is bowing to them. White Supremist types and extreme nationalists speak out about it. I have made a list of famous men in history who were this way:
* Einstein - Nobel prize winning scientist
Made a list of rules for his first wife to live by.
* Aristotle - Renowned Ancient Greek philosopher
Felt women should be slaves
* Confucious - Chinese philosopher, teacher and political theorist.
"One hundred women are not worth a single testicle."
Friedrich Nietzsche - German philosopher and writer
Thought women who wanted to learn were messed up sexually
Martin Luther - German priest and theologian
Thought women were either wives or prostitutes.
Napolean Bonaparte - French military leader
Thought women should be slaves
It seems that men who are geniuses in some areas have little or no intelligence about women and the role women play. They are disrespectful and ugly where females are concerned. How women were treated in the Victorian Era is a prime example of this kind of treatment.
What are your thoughts on this issue? Do you see it in your life, workplace or otherwise?

It’s everywhere, even in places you’d never thing to look. For instance, Jainism is noted for being “the most peaceful religion,” because they practice extreme nonviolence (they’re recognized for wearing masks so they don’t accidentally inhale a bug, and sweep the ground in front of them so they don’t step on something). However, one of the Jain sects believe that women cannot achieve moksha (the ending of the “reincarnation cycle”), so even if they reach perfect enlightenment they have to be reborn as a man to break the cycle.
Here’s the quote from their website:
Digambar (sky-clad) perspective: Many Digambar scholars say that a woman’s birth carries karmic obstacles that prevent attaining kevala-jnana (omniscient knowledge) in the current life. According to this view, a woman must be reborn as a man to have the necessary conditions for full liberation. They emphasize strict ascetic practices and the specific karmic dynamics that, in their interpretation, make moksha unattainable for a woman in her present body.
How sick is THAT!!??

Some women are misogynists, too. My first wife couldn't stand me going to see family or inviting family to our house or having friends she didn't know. Once, when I went to see my mom, she pulled up right after I did at mom's house and ordered me to get my tush home, where I belonged. I started getting divorced from her right after she did that!

You're right. My third husband was that way. Your wife sounds like quite a piece of work.

I think the issue started when men ruled everything, and women were seen as less than men, and it has been a cycle women have worked to break for years. Over the years, we have made a lot of progress, but there are still those men out there. They are finding that women are actually more intelligent than men in some areas. Women have better verbal and social skills than a lot of men. Our brains work differently, and things that were once seen as weaknesses (our feelings) are now being seen as strengths. As humans evolve, the way we see each other and the world evolves. There will always be men who see women as nothing more than someone who gives birth and takes care of the house, and there will always be women who see men as sexist jerks, but the truth is somewhere in between. There are genuinely good men who make wonderful fathers and are sometimes better parents than some women, and there are terrible women who are so focused on being a feminist that they don't give some really good men a chance. I think the problem arises when there are extremes. There are good men and women, and there are terrible men and women. All we can do is see people for who they are and judge based on the person and not as a group. The issue is a man or woman gets hurt and suddenly blames an entire gender for the problems they have had. Sometimes they'll get hurt a few times and not realize they are part of their own problem. It isn't always about women or men but the type a person chooses. Sometimes they keep going for the same exact type and expecting things to be different, and then suddenly they're blaming an entire gender for their problems, without realizing they are part of the problem.

It's all give and take. I just really dislike it when women are made to feel inferior to men. Burns my cookies.

@celticeagle It makes me mad, too, but a lot of things make me mad. Injustice in general makes me mad, no matter who is being mistreated.

i only knew that nietzsche and aristotle were women haters. i am very disappointed by luther and confucious, i admired them, unbelievable. i read an article that in china there are sites where men talk bad things about women only cause women are progressing today and 1children policy left the country with a lot of single men. the issue is still there today,in every country. men kill their female partners and get several years in jail and got back to the society like nothing happened. i felt these issues in private and personal life. the last time when i was on one dating site, i put that i want to meet a gentleman and i was getting comments that i must have had bad experiences so i asked one man or more what is a gentleman for you and he only said it's about being sincere and honest. he didn't mention woman at all or being actually gentle, caring and all. i feel women were respected before more than today and i hate that many women join men in disrespecting other women. also, when i think about science and those nobel prize winners, their wives should have took the credit or women associates too.
