So far at 33 minutes there is no score. The game is between Spain and Argentina.Jennifer Hudson sang a dramatic rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, and the miliary guard was there. I liked the parade of flags and live renditions of the national anthems. The game is being played in New York and New Jersey, according to the banner on the TV screen. The weather looks clear with no sign of wildfire smoke.

I watched it. Terrible game, but the right team won.
Normally football matches don’t have hydration breaks and extended half-time intervals, but I guess that’s the American way. Lots of razzamatazz. It was a bit strange seeing Ronaldo and Ronaldinho driving Madonna around, plus the Muppets. Very bizarre. Just get on with the game I say!

That is true, they are still celebrating. In Sam Pedro Square in San Jose it was wild. It seems everyone behaved though.
