Has it reached your region yet?

....so I updated my WhatsApp yesterday hoping to try the new username feature...you heard about it, right?..it's a cool feature
. The creator s says it would let me keep my phone number private, so people who don't already have me saved could just use my username.
But when I checked after updating, I saw it hasn't reached my region yet...ugh.. So I just reserved my preferred username and now I'm waiting for the notification.
I'm glad I could at least reserve it first. Has anyone here already got the feature? If it's available where you are, how has activating your WhatsApp username worked for you?

I haven't used Whats APP since my son was in Brazil. I have noticed too that there are a number of scammers on it, so not inclined to use it.

That's slowly being rolled out in the US now but, like you, we can reserve the name we prefer if we want. I only talk to people who already have my number so I won't bother changing mine.

Perhaps it hasn't reached my region. My WhatsApp is working fine.
