Another dime

After leaving the store yesterday, I stopped for a second to rearrange the stuff I had in my shopping bag.
When I put the bag down on the ground I noticed there was a dime lying there.
I picked it up and put it in my wallet.
I know it’s silly, but it lifted my mood a little bit.
When I got home, I put the dime in my coin roll.
Once it fills up, I’ll take it to the bank.

@lovebuglena I'll be honest here. I've gotten quarters back from shopping carts at ALdi, because people don't know how to get their money back, or don't care.

Definitely no harm in picking up a coin. Sometimes, if there are a lot of people around, I get awkward picking up a coin and don’t.

Every now and then as I keep walking along the streets I find one or two lost coins.

It’s more likely that you will find a penny on the ground than a higher value coin.

Sometimes I may pass by a penny and don’t pick it up, but I usually pick up a coin that’s higher denomination.

It's not silly at all. It's smart I think. I remember my ex used to throw all his pennies on the ground. I'd pick them up and saved a lot that way.

Yesterday, my sister said how terrible our economy is. Too terrible that when we see a single coin on the road, we would pick it up.
You just reminded me of that with your discussion.
