Too obvious!

One of our young female staff has been the subject of gossip at work. Why? She is in a "secret" relationship with one of our male staff. They both have their significant others but staff at work noticed something is brewing between the two. At first, I thought they were just teasing them until I saw something with my own two eyes. It's never against the rules to have a relationship with a co-worker because we have hired couples in the past. So I don't really care much what they do as long as it doesn't affect their work. However, their co-workers couldn't stop talking about them coz they kept denying the obvious!

I am the kind of person who think "live and let live". Too many have to gossip about the others.

And gossip is what makes their day.

@toniganzon - This is sadly true. They are only happy if they can gossip about someone they know.

People need to mind their own business! The talking only makes them more uncomfortable.

@toniganzon That is true too--especially if it is THAT obvious.

If they don't want others to talk about them, they shouldn't have given them any reason to in the first place.

They both have significant others? Well, I hope they wise up and tell the truth to the person they are cheating on. Deceit like that never ends well.

Yep. It's their life and if they don't want to be in a messy situation they better straighten things up. Co-workers have been telling them to just admit they they're together but according to them, nothing is going on. And the female staff said she'd never leave her guy. Can't blame the co-workers for gossiping coz they're giving them reasons to.

I used to ignore things like that unless it effects their job.

Same. Already warned the female staff that she should focus on her job and not get distracted.

Let them get on with it. I wouldn't care about it either As long as they do their work

Couldn't care less but I already told the female staff that she better concentrate on her work. She's the one who easily gets distracted.

Gossip is such a waste of time.

I can understand why the gossip started, especially if their coworkers noticed something was going on and then watched both of them repeatedly deny it. People tend to become even more curious when something seems obvious but everyone involved insists otherwise.
