Do you have a “go to”?

When I can’t sleep, and don’t want to read or be online , I will turn on The Big Bang Theory and watch it. It makes me laugh out loud, and the characters are so likeable. I used to turn on The Golden Girls when that happened, but not anymore. Is there a TV show or movie that you always end up watching when nothing else is going on?

I like The Middle but I don't watch it when I am trying to sleep. I usually try to do some deep breathing or relaxation exercises, or I take a sleep inducing supplement. Big Bang is a great one though I agree.

The Middle was a really good show, for sure. I miss The Big Bang Theory. There sure have been a lot of spin-offs though: Young Sheldon, Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage, and now Stuart Fails to Save the Universs.

@snowy22315 There are ten episodes of Stuart Fails to Save the Universe and some are as short as 15 minutes.

@AmbiePam I thought the show about Stuart was a movie. I guess I was mistaken.

@AmbiePam Big Bang would be my go to show as well but I don't watch TV after 9 pm. It really is worth re-watching.

Did you ever watch the prequel show, Young Sheldon? It seems like one you would enjoy.

@AmbiePam Oh yes, and I loved it. I thought the star of it was Sheldon’s mother. The poor woman was trying her best to do everything right but kept getting things wrong.

@xFiacre It was such a great show. Did you know the actress who played the mother of Young Sheldon is the real life daughter of the actress who plays his mother on The Big Bang Theory.

When my first husband was ill I would go to the living room, lean back in the recliner and turn on the weather channel. It was enough variety for me, but repetitious enough it did not cause me to be more alert.

I think that the Big Bang has been on air in syndication longer than they actually aired, or close to it. I usually just look out the window if I cannot sleep, look the skies, the clouds if there are any, and the moon. If that doesn't work I will open the computer and play mahjong.

@AmbiePam It is just a matching game, like many are. Try it out when you are not stressed from anything, you'll pick it up easily, I did.

I guess my "go to" comedy would be Friends. It never gets old and still makes me laugh

I don't really have that issue... So can't really answer. I'd just get up and watch YouTube probably though. BBT was a great show though, I want to rewatch the series sometime

Wow, I don’t have that problem. I usually end up having my watch complain that I got to bed late because I was up at 3 AM listening to history podcasts. I don’t have cable so watching a TV show is out of the question unless I want to get up and go into the living room and pop in a DVD of Hogan’s Heroes or The Rat Patrol.

One of the court TV shows. I finished all of the seasons of Judy Justice on Amazon Prime and now I'm on Season 2 of Tribunal Justice. I think those judges are jerks, especially Judge Judy's son, but it's background noise and I learn interesting legal points.
