August already?

I feel like July went by quickly for sure. We're slowly getting things together for our kids. Ordered school supplies for my son, which makes it easy. Ordered a few new school shirts for the two eldest. So slowly getting things ready. Hopefully autumn doesn't come too early. I'd still like to enjoy a bit of the summer weather.

@dodo19 What day does school start in your province? Here we begin the day after Labour Day, but they don't dismiss for summer holidays until the very end of June, so they do get their 2 full months off.

@Juliaacv For us, the start of summer break is around the same time. End of June. They tend to start school just before Labour Day. They tend to have a couple days, then it's labour day weekend.

@LadyDuck Hopefully it goes well and all the paperwork is done.

I do hope that you are able to relax and August isn't as difficult for you.

@dodo19 - I hope not, by next Monday I should have finished all the needed paperwork.

@dodo19 If you think it is going by fast now, just wait 20 more years. It's really crazy. I used to think my mom was a bit off on that remark, but it is 100% true!

It really has. I'm finding time is going by faster. A lot more so than when I was younger.

It really is going by fast for sure. As much as I do like fall for the cooler weather, changing leaves and such, I will still enjoy the summer while I can too.

@dodo19 ..........I will as much as I can. Living upstairs make very hot and miserable.

@celticeagle I can imagine it's not always comfortable in this situation.

So they go back pretty soon. Mine still have a few weeks.

@thislittlepennyearns Yes, I'm in Canada. It's definitely interesting to see how things work in different places. We start a bit later and end a little later.

@dodo19 I grew up going back in september, but i grew up on the other coast. I guess I just realized you were living in Canada. LOL. We went back after labor day and got out in june. Our kids get out in may....like the last week and they go back between august 10th and the 15th every year.

It definitely is coming close. I will enjoy my time. Hope you do as well!

I feel the same. The year definitely feels as though it's gone by really really quickly. I'm sure we'll enjoy the rest of the summer.
