Bob has been summoned for jury duty.
Monday I will need to call the phone number to explain that he has worsening dementia and he will not be serving.
I can hardly get him out of bed some days.
Of course last night, all night, he was up and down and wandering the house in the dark. No lights on, other than night lights.
I think he let Bruno out. I was certain I got Bruno inside before I lay down at 11:00, but this morning at 5:30 he was outside crying to get in.
This is going to be a rough day, I am sure.

I imagine I can do it without a note, we are such a small town, but if I have to, I certainly will.

They may make you physically appear to see for themselves. My husband is law enforcement retired and normally nobody or direct relative are wanted for jury duty and excused with that statement and name of who you are directly related to. He got called last month. He went and when judge asked if anyone was present that is or worked in law enforcement, he raised his hand. Judge asked him a few questions, and she told him to have a seat. He was tied up going back until Thursday of that week. Odd!

@GardenGerty I hope you can get it taken care of over the phone. Here we call in the Sunday night before reporting and you will find out if you have to go, plea bargain made or case was closed, etc.

So sorry he was up all night. That is one of the hard parts of dementia. They get their days and nights reversed. Then the caregiver doesn't get rest

Sometimes, you have to prove you cannot serve on a jury, so don't be surprised if they demand a medical excuse. My daughter was recovering from surgery and they made her get one. Hopefully, you won't have to, it's such a pain.
I'm sorry to hear his days and nights are mixed up. I know how that can be, to not get any sleep, it's not easy. Big prayers for you, Heather.
