Roast dinner day is back ……

So, for the past couple of weeks I have been at the caravan so have missed roast dinners at my Moms.
However, I am back …..and so are Sunday roast dinner days …..
Today, we had roast pork, roast potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, stuffing, apple sauce and gravy.
For dessert we had ice cream. The Muster and I had vanilla and chocolate. My Mom had Salted Caramel.
It tasted so much better as it was the first for a while …..

What a delicious sounding dinner. I remember dinners at my grandma's. She fixed roast on Sundays too. Ice cream is on the menu for me tonight.

I've had an upset stomach all day so I didn't eat anything until Pretty brought me a tiny chunk of the chicken with a biscuit she'd made for supper. Then threw it up about half an hour later.
I'm glad you got to spend time with Mom yesterday. I hope you're all doing fine today.

That sounds like a lovely Sunday tradition, and I can understand why it tasted even better after missing it for a couple of weeks. Roast pork with all the trimmings is always a comforting meal, and the salted caramel ice cream sounds like a nice way to finish it off. Today has been a simple food day for me. I had a sandwich for breakfast, and later I'll probably have some chicken with rice for dinner. Sometimes the simplest meals are the most satisfying. Enjoy getting back into your Sunday roast routine!
