Still in bed

Bob did get up three or four times in the night. The first time I had to go find him. He did sleep a lot more peacefully, though.
I was able to get him to eat about seven hundred calories last night. Mainly of junk food, chicken nuggets, tater tots and a cherry limeade, but they all provide energy. I think eating helps him as well.
It is past time for me to try to wake him up. I will take him a protein shake and his morning medicine.
Today was primary election day, so I told him I was leaving the house but would be back. I went to the trash dumpsters as well while I was out voting.
I have already had one appointment for him rescheduled today.
Life moves slowly here.

Even junk food is better than nothing.
Things go slowly here, too. I had some problems today... Pretty always asks how I'm feeling when I wake up.

I really hope they get you some help for the problems that are showing up. When I mentioned the hydrocephalus to our primary care she told me she had already tested him for that. She is really on the ball.

@DaddyEvil I am not sure if he does or does not feel dizzy. He seems to turn the wrong way and get lost in our house a whole lot. If there is an easy way to do something and a hard way to do it, he finds the hard way.

@GardenGerty They will. I'm really hoping the test when I go in the hospital helps my mental state. I don't like feeling like I'm floating and dizzy all the time.
I'm glad Bob doesn't have that problem, at least.

Yes, thank you for the prayers. I can, if I have to, drag Bob somewhere, but that might hurt him, and it would make him mad at me as well. I do not want to spend the rest of his life with him being mad and me being mad and frustrated. I am glad you guys could keep your mom at home.

@AmbiePam I am touring a Veteran's Home on Friday morning. It has a memory care unit. Bob would get regular physical therapy there and possibly better mental stimulation than I am giving him.

@GardenGerty That sounds like a really good place, Heather. Physical therapy would be absolutely great at any point he is able to take even a little bit advantage.

Glad he ate and did sleep better. It could take a few nights for the new medicine to work well. Feed him whatever he will eat. It's all good compared to not eating.

Yes, it is. He is very sure he would not want tube feedings.

Hi Heather
If you could get him to eat 700 calories of junk food say twice a day on top of some healthy stuff it would be good
Protein shakes, they did help Yvonne a lot after her health scare last October.
She was having three per day for about 3 months and those helped her regain her appetite
Life has ground to a halt here today
Another boring rainy miserable day

Send me the rain please. Often he does not finish the protein shake when I give it to him. We had a nice watermelon/yougurt smoothie today he drank about half of. It was homemade.

Yes, to heal your body you need calories.

Better junk food than no food I suppose. It gives him some nourishment and energy hopefully

For a "junk food" meal it was not too bad. He does eat fresh fruit for me along the way.

I think his taste has changed somewhat, too. On the other hand he has dreamed twice of ceviche lately. Something I have never tried and do not want to try.

@GardenGerty I had to look it up. It's raw fish! I'm not surprised you don't want to try it.
