Bob got up right after I did, between 7 and 7:30. He is back asleep now. I have to run Pedro to the vet for a check up, but Bob knows that.
His sleep seems to be a better quality. I do not know if that is from the medicine or from finally beginning to eat more. I am just thankful.
Today he sees the cardiologist as a follow up from his hospitalization at St. Teresa's. It will be more news of more heart failure, and the fact that he is not well enough to have surgery.
I am in conversation with his VA social worker. I will be honest and tell you that I am giving serious thought to a Memory Care unit that the VA will pay for. It will mean he is safer and getting more care than I can give him on my own. I will have some other people giving me input into this, though.
So I have to go catch the cat. I will catch up with you guys later.

I don't know what does mean, but I hope you will still be with him everyday so he can feel more secure and love.
When I am sick, knowing that my mom is there beside me makes me strong.

I don't know what 'Memory Care' entales but it could give you a chance to recoup after what you've been going through and just end it when you've rested and he's doing better.

I know you don’t want to. You’re working your butt off to try to get things arranged so he can stay home with you. You have to face the very ugly truth that your health (physical and emotional) also matters. I don’t know if they do, but you could ask if the VA has access to facilities where the spouse can stay with the veteran.
Know that I’m praying for you.

I think it's good that you are giving this some thought
I think I would go down that route if I thought it would be better all round for Bob
Difficult decision to make

I'm sure Memory Care isn't what you prefer but if that's what is best for him, then I hope you can find one with a bed for him.
Good luck with everything!

A memory care center can be very helpful.
Hope you caught the cat. They know when something is up.
