I’m finally cutting the cord!

A lot of you got rid of your cable a long time ago. I’m finally sick of the ridiculous price increases. I only kept it because of the sports programming available, and now Hulu Live has that. I cannot wait to get rid of this big bill and pay about half of what I have been. It will be great!

I’ve got Sky TV via cable. It used to be via satellite but it was quite slow. Now I’ve got superfast broadband and I love it. Maybe in the future I will try 5g. What are you using if not cable?

@AmbiePam What is the communication medium? Here it used to be only via radio waves (terrestrial they call it). They are planning to switch off these expensive to maintain tv transmitters and force everyone onto either cable or the 5g network.

No more cable tvs. We only have our streaming platforms and when my son wanted to watch the world cup or just any football game, he would just search for websites that show it and there's always one website he could watch.

I have no real TV. My entertainment consists of YouTube, DVDs and videos, The Internet is through AT&T.

Still with cable, sadly. They also provide our internet AND mobile service!

@AliCanary I’ll have to look at that one. I have Disney+ too, but I’ve yet to see anything that catches my eye on there.

@AmbiePam ,y plan actually includes streaming, including Disney+/Hulu. I just started watching "Nine Perfect Strangers", and it is pretty amazing!

I cut that cord long ago. Honestly, I could see what was coming--streaming moved in, the cable companies lost a lot of customers, and thus the rates shot way up in an effort to make up for the lack of income from the customers they no longer have. Regular cable with high speed internet is now bundled for cable customers at the ''bargain'' rate of $309 per month!! Um, no thanks. Glad I ditched that long ago.
We are currently using the free Hulu/Disney + provided by our new internet provider, Tubi, Amazon Prime, and a local station. It's more than enough to watch and the best part is they are currently ALL free!

I have Youtube TV. It isn't cheap, but luckily friend fits the bill. He's nice like that. If I were on my own..I would probably get Sling or something like that. Sis for some reason crazy reason just got Direct TV. I predict she will be sorry.

We usually watch on youtube, most of the TV channels here in manila have live streaming in Youtube and Facebook.

We don't watch a lot of TV and seem to have a lot of free-to-air channels. We only pay for Netflix.

Sounds like a good idea...cable can be pricey. That is one good thing about Hulu, having live things.
No cable here, just pay for a couple streaming apps, then the rest are free ones.

TV is still there. I am planning to buy convert this to smart tv where I can conneect the other streaming platforms. Till then, cable is on, I presume.
