When it comes to pets, cats and dogs are usually one of the most common or popular pets owned by people. In my country while we have a lot of people who owns cats as pet, most of them usually have them just to help them control rodents, more people have dogs as pets either for security reasons or simply as a pet. While having a pet has always been based on individual preferences, there have been debate as to which is a better per.
Between cats and dogs, which would you consider to be the better pet and why?

It depends on the person and their lifestyle. Cats overall are easier as they don't need to go outside. But as a rule dogs are more trainable and helpful.

Fish, of course, are the better pets... You can dig a moat all around your house, stock it with different types of sharks and never need to worry about thieves breaking into your house and stealing everything you own.
Just because I have guppies and corydoras doesn't mean I couldn't buy sharks if I wanted them.
I'm allergic to any pets with fur on them.
Although I did have a cat as a pet when I was a teenager.
